Researching what had happened to Ruby would not put his mind at ease with
how it happened but it would help him put it to rest (if that makes sense).
There's no way he could possibly know the sensations Ruby is feeling.
However, the proximity to her body does bring a sense of shared warmth
easily imagined as a feeling of relief deep inside him. It takes him a
second longer to realize Ruby's attempts to get his attention. His grip
loosens and in turn, the look he gives her is nothing short of perplexed.
He immediately runs his hands down both sides of her arms to hold her
cautiously just before her elbows, a growing sense of concern even panic
fills his eyes. "What? Hold on. Explain to me what you're feeling."
