"Not the worst alarm you could have," she says, glad he fixed on a point where his day began. "That's good. You're here to relax and feel better," she reminds him. Her brow furrows when he shows her his hand. She reaches out tentatively to touch the marks. "I've got some cream in my bag for those. I also brought you more books and I think I'm going to teach you to knit later this week." She's trying to give him something to occupy his time.
