Her touch is everything he has been longing for the last 365 days. He can't
help but lean closer to her, wrap his arms around her, completely
abandoning the cigarette between his fingers.
His beard is far from stubble or a few weeks of growth, long enough to be
unflattering but not overly unkempt yet. He remains mostly unmoving
otherwise. "I wouldn't be opposed to a shave." He looks deeply into her
eyes. They had an agreement that started many years ago that she was the
only one that could manage his hair. "I understand how it might seem that
way. Jo, Donna, everyone else-- uh, the world is treating the day they
returned as the same day they last remembered and treating it as if it's
2020 instead of 2021. On the bright side, Chuck is mortal now. He can't
bother anybody anymore."
He pauses for a second, taking a deep breath while looking her up and down.
"Welcome back, Ruby.'"
